Munchkin Lunch Ideas

New Lunch Ideas!

Let it be known that I do not enjoy a hot dog unless I am trapped in a ball park/football game and there is no other this lunch consists of a TURKEY dog cut up, slice tomato, and a mix of cheerios, pretzels and raisin.  Such a creation.  He ate it up.

The above photo is: Turkey slices rolled up, 1 pickle, apple slices, cut up string cheese and a zebra cake.

I call this one the "bananarito."
This one is super easy, healthy and a big hit.  It's just half a banana with peanut butter and jelly and a tortilla wrapped around it.  I used a "soft taco" size tortilla.  Michael ate it up!

Today I decided to show another lunch to you all.  Here is this morning's lunch.  I did resort to a peanut butter and honey sandwich because my little monster ate the other lunch items so I have to get more.

It is peanut butter and honey, sliced tomatoes and pretzels.  There is also a leftover cookie in there!

If you are anything like me, you would rather send your child to school most of the time with a lunch in hand instead of buying (which means you paying) for their lunches.

I am guilty of being exhausted and letting my son buy lunch every Friday, but I can say I have sent him to school with his lunch since pre-school.  Part of this is because I want to know that he is getting the nutrition he needs.

My little guy came home last week telling me that he was tired of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.  So, I decided to switch it up and try different things.
I cooked up some sausage, cut slices of cheese, cut slices of tomato (because he is in love with tomato) and pre-packaged cookies with peabut butter, put them in tupperware to save on baggies and it kept everything separated.  I laid the juice box right over the top and it fit right into his lunch box.
He loved it!  Stay tuned for more ideas!

  1. My go to lunch for my little guy is mini whole wheat pita pockets with hummus and fruit salad. Easy and he loves.

I'd love to hear what you think! Just leave a note!
